How to delete your account

1. Sign in to your Baladi Map account.
2. Open your Dashboard and go to the Settings tab.
3. In the “Danger zone” section, choose “Delete account” and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is permanently deleted

• Your account and sign-in email
• Your profile — display name, username, and picture
• Your watchlist and notification history
• Your “I'm affected” votes
• Your badges and any staff roles
• Your contact details on any municipality claim you submitted

What is anonymized and kept

Baladi Map is a public civic record. Issue reports and comments you posted publicly stay on the platform so the community's shared history of reported problems is preserved — but they are permanently unlinked from you and shown as anonymous. Photos attached to public reports remain part of those reports. Once your account is deleted, nothing on the platform can be traced back to you.

What is retained, and why

Aggregate statistics (issue counts, share tallies, municipality scoreboards) contain no personal information and are unaffected. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time before being purged automatically.

Can't sign in?

If you can no longer access your account, email us at admin@baladimap.com from the email address your account was registered with and ask for the account to be deleted. We will verify the request and confirm by reply once it is done.
