Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Baladi Map, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

Use of Service

Baladi Map is a civic accountability platform for reporting infrastructure issues in Lebanon. You may use the service to report genuine infrastructure problems, track issue resolution, and participate in community discussions.

User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant Baladi Map a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and use your content in connection with the service. All reports must be truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Issue Reporting and Verification

All submitted issues require admin approval before being published. We reserve the right to decline submissions that:

• Are inaccurate or misleading
• Do not include required information (location, photo, classification)
• Contain inappropriate content
• Are duplicate reports of existing issues

Issue Status

• All approved issues are marked as "Not Fixed Yet" by default
• Only Baladi Map administrators can mark issues as "Fixed"
• Issues marked as "Fixed" require proof of resolution from the municipality
• We do not guarantee municipality response or resolution times

Voting

• You may vote "I'm affected" on any issue once per account
• Voting is intended to show genuine impact — please do not vote on issues that don't affect you
• We reserve the right to remove fraudulent votes

Prohibited Conduct

You may not submit false or misleading reports, harass other users, use the platform for political campaigning, attempt to circumvent security measures, or use automated systems to interact with the service.

Disclaimer

Baladi Map is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content or that municipalities will respond to reported issues.

Limitation of Liability

Baladi Map shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
