The rental of electric scooters and quad bikes to minors and underage children (sometimes without helmets. Groups of children driving them on public roads day and night in byblos. We have witnessed more than one accident and nothing has been done. Byblos entrance near Roadsters diner is where they are being rented from.

The Municipality of Jbeil -Byblos is fully aware of this issue and has already taken measures to address it. Owners of shops renting quad bikes and Ebikes have been required to sign a formal pledge committing to specific safety and operating conditions, including the mandatory use of helmets, proper supervision and guidance, compliance with designated operating hours, and strict closing times. The Municipality is closely monitoring compliance, particularly regarding the use of these vehicles by minors and their circulation on public roads. Any establishment that fails to comply with the imposed conditions and municipal regulations will be subject to the appropriate enforcement measures, including closure where applicable. In the coming weeks, additional and stricter regulations will be adopted to better regulate these activities.
