Street of deir mar mama All the red zone Every street around here is a mess. I mean, full of potholes—the roads are in terrible condition. And we’re forced to pay fees every year, but they don’t fix our roads. Just because we’re on this street and we’re not originally from Monsef, even though we’ve bought land and built houses, or bought apartments here, they don’t bother fixing our road. Yet we’re still required to pay these fees every year. Meanwhile, they fix the roads in their own village, in the areas where they live and where they’re originally from. And now they’ve even paved a road that nobody uses—the road from Eddeh to the highway that leads up to Mansour. No one even uses it! Instead of paving the road that everyone actually drives on
